The AG-HPX171 is the lightest of the P2HD camera-recorders. This compact, handheld model features a 28mm* wide-angle zoom lens - widest in its class - and a newly developed 1/3-inch 16:9 progressive CCD that assures outstanding image quality. This advanced CCD combines with the DVCPRO HD codec, with its proven track record in broadcast use, to provide exceptional high-quality HD recording.
Two P2 card slots allow up to 64 minutes of continuous HD recording. Hot-swapping is possible, for extended non-stop recording. With functions such as pre-rec and loop rec, the AG-HPX171 provides smooth, stable recording, helping ensure that you never miss out on a good shooting opportunity. Adopting the same variable frame rate recording and Cinelike mode as the AG-HVX201AE Series, the AG-HPX171 offers outstanding image expression. Also equipped with an HD/SD-SDI output terminal and other interfaces, the AG-HPX171 is a flexible tool that can be used in a variety of broadcast and production systems.
